The Chur City Library is open to everyone.
Upon presentation of an official form of identification, a personal library card will be issued, which must be presented each time you borrow an item. There is a fee for the library card.
Children and adolescents under the age of 16 require the written consent of a parent. Legal guardians will be contacted if there are any financial obligations (fees, compensation, costs, and outstanding returns) or if consent is needed for the use of photos.
The personal data collected by the library from its patrons is stored and used exclusively for library purposes.
Please notify the library immediately of any changes to your name or address, or if your library card is lost.
Media checkouts are limited by number and age group as follows:
Media lending for the Chur City School is handled separately.
Items on loan can be reserved and must be picked up within one week; otherwise, they will be made available to other users.
Early in the morning, late in the evening, and on Sundays and holidays, you can take advantage of the city library's extended hours.

How does it work?
Before checking out items yourself, please check that they are complete. Missing or damaged parts must be reported immediately. If no report is made, the items will be considered to have been checked out in their entirety. It is the customer’s responsibility to verify that the items have been properly recorded. The library assumes no liability for unauthorized transactions on the account.
Everyone in the library is expected to be considerate of others. Please handle the media, materials, and furnishings with care. Please conduct yourself in a way that does not disturb, obstruct, or endanger other visitors.
You are allowed to eat cold snacks and drink beverages.
We ask that you be considerate and keep conversations at a reasonable volume. Please set your cell phone to silent while in the library and make calls only outside the library. Thank you for keeping the study and reading areas clean.
You are welcome to bring your own mobile devices. You may use any unoccupied, freely accessible electrical outlets to charge them.
Accessing websites with content that is subject to criminal law is not permitted.
Pets are not allowed in the library. Service dogs are an exception.
There is a general smoking ban.
Access is available to customers 16 years of age and older who have a valid library card (Biblio-GA, Adult, Monthly GA, or O-Abo) and a PIN. The card is non-transferable.
This area is under video surveillance. Please do not allow anyone else to enter the library. Vandalism, other acts of damage, and harassment will be reported to the police.
Note: If the subscription is not used, there is no right to a refund.
Users are responsible for the materials they borrow and their use, as well as for complying with copyright laws.
The library assumes no liability for items brought onto the premises, lost, damaged, or stolen.
Legal guardians are responsible for children and adolescents up to age 18.
In the event of repeated or serious violations of the library rules, or in the event of a significant disruption to library operations, the library administration may temporarily or permanently bar a visitor from using the library.
